Is Beamline free to use?

Creating an account is free, and calls between two Beamline users are always free. Calling a number that isn't on Beamline, or sending airtime and data, costs a small amount that's always shown before you send.

How much does it cost to call Ethiopia?

Calls to a phone number in Ethiopia that isn't on Beamline cost $0.23 per minute. If the person you're calling is also a Beamline user, the call is completely free.

Can I send cash to Ethiopia with Beamline?

Not yet — cash transfers to a bank account or mobile wallet are coming soon. Today you can call and send airtime or data bundles instantly.

What do I need to sign up for Beamline?

Just a US phone number to create and verify your account. The people you send to only need their Ethiopian phone number — they don't need the app themselves to receive airtime or data.
